About the Program

The Culinary Employment Skills Program is a partnership between Christian Horizons and Humber College. The program provides specific skill based career outcomes in securing paid employment opportunities in the culinary field. The program also encourages inclusion in the education via the teaching by a college culinary chef instructor and local business communities by way of a variety of job placements.

Application Eligibility

 In order to be a part of the Culinary Employment Skills Program applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
  • Have a developmental disability
  • Desire to work full time, part time or be self-employed in the food industry
  • Ability to work semi-independently
  • Ability to obtain or have access to transportation (to work placements, Humber College North Campus and 155 Deerhide Cres.)
